This my first presidential election I will be able to vote in. I began the campaign supporting Evan Bayh (I know I was one of the few). However when he dropped out I did not who to support. I live in Michigan so when the primary came around I vote for uncommitted still not knowing who to support. However as time went on I found myself not liking either candidate. One moment I was supporting Hillary and then she would do something stupid so I switched to Barack and then he would do something stupid. I have been trying to decide for over a year who I would vote for. However the only thing I figured out is that I do not like either candidate. I know this is unpopular but as of today I am voting Cynthia McKinney in November. Hillary or Barack has done nothing to impress me. At least I know where Cynthia stands.
UPDATE I should have elaborated more. The war in Iraq was the defining issue for me. I had a cousin die in Iraq and this is what began my major passion. I do not believe that Hillary or Barack would be the change we need for Iraq. Better than Bush or McCain yes but not the change I want. I will also state that I do realize that McKinney probably will not win but I am not going to jump off her bandwagon. I have been a lifelong Cubs fan. My vote is not set in stone. I hope this clarifies my stance and my current situation.
